Born and Raised (Summary)In 1979, I was born at the AUB hospital in Beirut, Lebanon. After moving around for a bit, our family settled down in Atlanta, Ga. I attended Sagamore Hills Elementary followed by Lakeside High school. In 1996, I started my undergraduate career in computer science at Georgia Tech, followed by a Masters Degree. After working at BBN labs in Boston for two years, I ended up doing my PhD at McGill university. For the first time in a long while, it looks like things are starting to come together... |
AtlantaHome sweet home. Family, friends. Maybe not the greatest city, but it will always have a special place with me. See my friends link for more information. |
Washington, DCI spent two summers (2001/2002) interning at the Naval Research Lab in Washington, DC. I found DC pretty interesting. I had time to visit the museums and landmarks, go running along the river, and generally exploring the city. I have a couple of friends there, and my sister now lives in the city, so I go back from time to time. Oh, and I once flew there specifically to see Iron Maiden perform. |
BostonAfter getting my Masters from GaTech, I moved to Boston to work at BBN. Boston was okay. I knew a couple of people at MIT, and met a few people around the city. My experience there could have been better, but it's different when you are working. The city was pretty nice. Lots of college kids around, things going on. I've got some interesting memories from my time there. |
MontrealCurrent home sweet home. At school at McGill in downtown Montreal. What an amazing city. Unlike any other I've known. Second only to Atlanta (of course) and on par with Beirut. |
LebanonMy family is originally from Lebanon. We got back to visit every few years. Notablly, I spent a summer taking classes at the AUB and living in downtown Beirut. Good summer. |
RobotsI love robots. |

SnowSnow is the greatest thing ever. All you "snow sucks" people don't know what you are talking about. |
AnimalsWhile in Boston, I had time and space to have an aquarium with about 8 or 9 fish and live plants. It was pretty amazing. One day, I'll have a much larger tank in my house. (when I get a house). |
